Lace Applique Earrings
Monday, February 27, 2012
I made these earrings awhile back (inspired by this) so I don't have a full tutorial with pictures of each step, materials, and the whole nine yards. It's really simple though so you don't really need it.
Materials:-Earring hooks-Earring backs (flat for studs)-Lace applique or doily-Super or hot glue-Scissors
Basically what you do is take your lace applique or doily and cut of a part that you want to use for your earrings. For the studs cut of a small part like a little flower and glue it onto the earring backs. For the dangle earrings cut a bigger part of the lace that hangs down. Open the hook of the earring hook and attach the lace. I just put the hook through and open part of the lace as you can see in the picture, but if your applique or doily has a hole in it you can attach it there.Posted by Maya at 3:00 PM | Labels: accessories, DIY, earring, hair tutorials | 0 comments | Email This BlogThis! DIY Chain RingSupplies:-Pliers/Wire Cutters-Jump Rings-Chain-Small Charm (optional)
First, wrap the chain around your chosen finger and cut it at the right length using the wire cutters. Cut and extra link off because we will be adding a jump ring.Second, open the jump ring using the pliers.Third, attach the two ends of the chain with the jump ring, and add on the charm. Finally, close the jump ring and put it on your finger. Then happily parade around town showing off your awesome ring and making people jealous!
DIY Chain EarringsSupplies:-Pliers/Wire Cutters-Chain-Jump Rings-A Pair of EarwiresCut a four pieces of chain to the same desired length, and cut four more to the same desired, and a little bit shorter, length. Then attach two lengths of chain, one short, one long to each jump ring.Attach two of the jump rings to each earwire.
