  1. DIY Materials

First check out this really helpful post at A Pair and A Spare about how to start DIYing. Then come back here and look at my awesome post! Number 4 on that list was to stockpile materials, and in all my travels around the interwebs I have found a whole lot of places to get materials. I literally have a whole bookmark folder filled with websites and places to get inexpensive materials. Today I'm going to share it with you.

First up: Etsy (by the way check out my etsy shop here) Etsy is an awesome website filled with people selling handmade goods and other people selling stuff to used to make handmade goods! Here are some of my favorite shops that I get materials from:
Those shops mostly have things for jewelry making, but if you search around Esty you can find a lot of good stuff. These shops however are for crafts in general:
    • M&J Trimming
    • Hobby Lobby
    • Target, Kmart, Walmart (inexpensive clothing stores are good places to buy clothes that you can then change and make your own).
Last of all, thrift stores! Thrift stores are great places to get home decor, clothing, jewelry, everything; all for very low prices. So visit Etsy, general hobby stores, thrift stores, and start DIYing. :)
