    Sunday, January 29, 2012

Here is how to make your own awesomtastic chain ring and earrings!! Also this is our first DIY I hope you like it!

    DIY Chain Ring
     Supplies:
    -Pliers/Wire Cutters
    -Jump Rings
    -Chain
    -Small Charm (optional)

First, wrap the chain around your chosen finger and cut it at the right length using the wire cutters. Cut and extra link off because we will be adding a jump ring.

Second, open the jump ring using the pliers.
Third, attach the two ends of the chain with the jump ring, and add on the charm.

Finally, close the jump ring and put it on your finger. Then happily parade around town showing off your awesome ring and making people jealous!

My grandma is awesome. Over the holiday break we went through all of her old jewelry and all the stuff she didn't want she gave to me! The box was too big to take with me in my suitcase so she mailed it to me and it just arrived yesterday!

  6. DIY Inspiration--Dip Dye

    Thursday, January 12, 2012

I've been meaning to do a dip dye DIY (<-- ha ha) for a while now, just cause it looks so cool!! And this picture made me want to even more. I got a white button down shirt about a month ago, but it's pretty plain. A dip dye or this would be an awesome way to make it more interesting.

  7. Braids and Buns

    Wednesday, January 11, 2012

I've recently had a really big obsession with braids. As a curly, frizzy haired girl, I usually only have two options in the morning (because straightening my hair takes about two hours): a bun, or a braid. And that's been getting a little bit old, so I went on a quest around the interwebs for fun, interesting takes on braids and buns. This is what I found:

    • Fishtail Braid Bun: Learn how to do a fishtail. Flip head upside down, and braid until the beginning of the top of your head. Then use a small elastic to hold it, and put the rest of your hair in a bun.

    •  Multiple Twisted Buns: Just smooth back hair and make a lot of little buns by the nape of your neck. Pin them with bobby pins.

    •  Braided Crown: I like this better than the classic milkmaid braids. Here's the tutorial.

    • The Fun Bun: Last, but certainly not least, this style has saved me on many a busy morning! It's so easy and beautiful. And this website is the best for beauty tutorials! Here is the fun bun tutorial.
